Family Wellness Day Expo brings you a comprehensive array of natural health, wellness, alternative medicine and green living lifestyles products and services under one roof. Our mandate is to educate and inspire others in the community to live healthy, positive, conscious lives, and come together to learn, grow and have fun!

Family Wellness Day Expo, began as Northumberland County’s largest showcase of natural health, wellness, alternative medicine and green living lifestyles, with dozens of exhibitors, local professionals and activities for the entire family to enjoy. Thanks to the tremendous support of our sponsors, community leaders and host of volunteers in the Northumberland area, we will be hosting our 8th annual Family Wellness Day Expo at the Northumberland Mall in Cobourg this year and our 1st events at Ramada Inn in Trenton and London.

At every Family Wellness Day Expo we donate proceeds to a local community organization. Proceeds from each event stay in the community hosting the event. If your organization would like to be considered for a future event, please email us: FamilyWellnessDayExpo@gmail.com

Donation Recipients

Trenton Care & Share Food Bank

The Trenton Care & Share Food Bank opened its doors in the old Police Station on the Market Square in July 1987. During 1988 it moved to the Dufferin Centre and operated out of this facility for 17 years until it was forced to move to a new location where it is now at 38 Guelph St. Trenton. Clients are walk-ins off the street, referrals from the agencies noted above and other sources. Those who meet the requirements receive about seven days or more of food and are only eligible to use the food bank once per month.

London Foodbank (London 2018)

When the London Food Bank was first started, co-directors Jane Roy and Glen Pearson determined that it should be largely volunteer run and fully transparent to the community at large. Now in its 31st year, the food bank continues to flourish specifically because of its great volunteers, a committed staff, and a community that continues to donate more supplies year after year. The London Food Bank is an important part of this functioning city and we invite you to explore more of how we function and who we serve.

Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank (Cobourg 2018)

Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank is dedicated to serving Cobourg and Port Hope, by collecting and distributing food and other necessities to individuals and families in need in our community. That need is now greater than ever before. As volunteers, we can’t do what we do without your help. You can register to volunteer here. Please contribute to the Fare Share Food Bank generously, and help make our community a better place.

The Children’s Foundation (Cobourg 2017)

The Children’s Foundation, serving Hastings, Northumberland and Prince Edward Counties is an autonomous organization governed by its own Board of Directors. They are the charitable arm of Highland Shores Children’s Aid. As well, they offer programs for families who are living in poverty who have no affiliation with HSCA. Their programs & services aim to educate and inspire our community to effect change and to bring people and financial resources together to improve the quality of life for children and youth who are at risk. We support programs in the community at large as well as within the HSCA all toward the common goal of improving the quality of life for children and youth in our communities.

Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention (Cobourg)

Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre is breaking the cycle of family violence by providing immediate shelter, counselling and prevention services throughout Northumberland County. Together we are a community committed to healthy, respectful relationships free from family violence.

YMCA - Strong Kids Campaign (Cobourg)

YMCA Strong Kids is an annual fundraising campaign focused on raising much needed resources to support proven YMCA programs that give kids the opportunities they need to reach their full potential: to live healthier, happier lives today, and grow into productive adults in the future. Your generous donation will help the YMCA, to ensure people of all ages are healthier and more productive regardless of their background or financial situation. Each YMCA association offers unique programs and services to meet the needs of their community – we have been building community for over 160 years in Canada! There are children, teens and young adults in every community who, with your help, will be healthier today and more productive tomorrow. Northumberland Food for Thought (Cobourg)

Northumberland Food For Thought (NFFT) works to ensure all children in Northumberland County attend school well nourished and ready to learn. We aim to provide safe environments, free of judgment, in which children and youth can develop healthy eating habits that will last a lifetime. Our programs take a universal approach, and serve all children in the county regardless of socioeconomic status.

Community Living-West Northumberland (Cobourg 2015)

Community Living-West Northumberland is a not-for-profit, charitable organization with a mandate to provide support and services to people with disabilities of all ages. Together with their supporters and partners, they build relationships and create opportunities for people with disabilities to connect, contribute and be included as citizens in all aspects of the community.

Rebound Child and Youth Services Northumberland (Cobourg 2016)

Rebound Child & Youth Services Northumberland is a not-for-profit, incorporated, charitable organization, providing high quality, community based programs and services to children, youth and families in Northumberland County since 1997. They work with many community partners and over 150 dedicated volunteers to ensure the ongoing provision of supportive and proactive programming to empower children, youth and their families to work towards positive change. Children and youth are our priority.
