to the Family Wellness Day Expo, Northumberland’s largest showcase of natural health, wellness, alternative medicine and green living lifestyles. With dozens of exhibitors, local professionals and activities for the entire family to enjoy, Family Wellness Day Expo brings you the most comprehensive array of natural health products and services under one roof. Our mandate is to educate and inspire others in the community to live healthy, positive, conscious lives, and come together to learn, grow and have fun!

This year’s event features all day activities for the kids, silent auction, hourly door prizes(must be present to win, double chance to win with donation of non-perishable food item), presentations, etc.

Thanks to the tremendous support of our sponsors, community leaders and host of volunteers in the Northumberland area, we will be hosting our 8th annual Family Wellness Day Expo the first Saturday in November from 10 am to 5 pm at the Northumberland Mall, Cobourg, Ontario.

At every Family Wellness Day Expo we donate proceeds to a local community organization or charity group. For 2018: Family Wellness Day Expo is supporting Northumberland Fare Share Food Banks – Serving Cobourg & Port Hope.

Food Acquisition: Improve our ability to acquire a greater volume of high quality food on a consistent basis and to provide that food as often as we can manage to those in need
Community outreach: Reduce hunger in our own community by letting our neighbours understand the need and encouraging those that can to help
Hunger reduction: Help to restore the dignity of people in need by helping them provide for themselves and their loved ones
Organizational development: Develop the human capital of the Northumberland Fare Share Food Banks to improve our ability to achieve our vision

The Children’s Foundation (Cobourg 2017)

The Children’s Foundation, serving Hastings, Northumberland and Prince Edward Counties is an autonomous organization governed by its own Board of Directors. They are the charitable arm of Highland Shores Children’s Aid. As well, they offer programs for families who are living in poverty who have no affiliation with HSCA. Their programs & services aim to educate and inspire our community to effect change and to bring people and financial resources together to improve the quality of life for children and youth who are at risk. We support programs in the community at large as well as within the HSCA all toward the common goal of improving the quality of life for children and youth in our communities.

Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention (Cobourg)

Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre is breaking the cycle of family violence by providing immediate shelter, counselling and prevention services throughout Northumberland County. Together we are a community committed to healthy, respectful relationships free from family violence.

YMCA - Strong Kids Campaign (Cobourg)

YMCA Strong Kids is an annual fundraising campaign focused on raising much needed resources to support proven YMCA programs that give kids the opportunities they need to reach their full potential: to live healthier, happier lives today, and grow into productive adults in the future. Your generous donation will help the YMCA, to ensure people of all ages are healthier and more productive regardless of their background or financial situation. Each YMCA association offers unique programs and services to meet the needs of their community – we have been building community for over 160 years in Canada! Northumberland Food for Thought (Cobourg)

Northumberland Food For Thought (NFFT) works to ensure all children in Northumberland County attend school well nourished and ready to learn. We aim to provide safe environments, free of judgment, in which children and youth can develop healthy eating habits that will last a lifetime. Our programs take a universal approach, and serve all children in the county regardless of socioeconomic status.

Community Living-West Northumberland (Cobourg 2015)

Community Living-West Northumberland is a not-for-profit, charitable organization with a mandate to provide support and services to people with disabilities of all ages. Together with their supporters and partners, they build relationships and create opportunities for people with disabilities to connect, contribute and be included as citizens in all aspects of the community.

Rebound Child and Youth Services Northumberland (Cobourg 2016)

Rebound Child & Youth Services Northumberland is a not-for-profit, incorporated, charitable organization, providing high quality, community based programs and services to children, youth and families in Northumberland County since 1997. They work with many community partners and over 150 dedicated volunteers to ensure the ongoing provision of supportive and proactive programming to empower children, youth and their families to work towards positive change. Children and youth are our priority.
